Raman Ramanathan is Partner & Consulting Leader, Aerospace & Defense with Ernst & Young.
Raman is a former Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Aerospace & Defense practice and led McKinsey’s Aerospace Aftermarket Service Line. Raman has over 20 years experience in the aerospace and aviation services and MRO industry. He specializes in growth strategy, cost transformations, supply chain and operational improvements.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Raman was a leader in Booz & Company’s Aerospace & Defense practice. Prior to consulting, Raman was at GE Aviation for 8 years holding various leadership roles including Global Overhaul Leader of Engine Services. During his tenure at GE, he developed services and operations strategies, structured strategic partnerships, developed segment-specific engine service offerings, implemented Lean/Six Sigma initiatives to drive long-term services contract productivity, and led four major modules of an new engine program. Prior to GE, Raman was a Senior Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace.
Raman earned his MBA with specialization in Finance and Strategic Management from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He also holds a MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering.
