Sherry Chaput is the owner and CEO of Avion Trace Group, a company that performs audit review and detective work for commercial aircraft. She works with airlines, leasing companies, finance organizations and others involved with aircraft safety, valuations and sales. Sherry’s penchant for (and experience with) sleuthing out documentation inconsistencies in “back to birth trace” paperwork, has saved clients countless hours of frustration and has saved aircraft owners millions of dollars in potentially lost aircraft resale value. Her “particular set of skills” developed from a childhood obsession with records and documentation, and a combined fifteen year history as a technical auditor, Director of Quality and Operations for an Aviation Group, and Technical Records Manager for a commercial airframe and engine material supply company. Sherry is a member of several industry groups such as ISTAT, ASA and GMAA. She has also committed her time and knowledge to the ASA Safety Committee board. Sessions
