Chris van den Hooven is the Senior Vice-President, Americas for Cathay Pacific Airways, responsible for overseeing all facets of the brand’s operations and commercial activities in the region. As a long tenured leader at Cathay Pacific Airways, he has held several oversees management positions including Country Manager for Vietnam, Italy and the Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia region. With over 26 years of industry of experience, Chris understands first-hand, the direct link between a company’s culture and its capability for operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability. While pursuing his career in the airline industry, Chris graduated from the University of Calgary with a focus in Marketing and Business Management. Chris strives to enhance a corporate culture that encourages and empowers team members to constantly learn and excel - both personally and for the company. At its heart, his approach is to practice the golden rule: treat others how you would like to be treated.
