Mr. Sherman is a Director at Alton Aviation Consultancy and focuses on the firm’s global private equity and transaction advisory practice. At the intersection of corporate strategy and development, investment banking and management consulting, he has over 15 years of aerospace/defense industry experience creating and delivering value through strategic positioning, M&A transactions, and operational discipline.
Prior to joining Alton, Mr. Sherman held various strategic leadership roles across the value chain at Pratt & Whitney, a division of Raytheon Technologies Corporation. Most recently, he led MRO/aftermarket operations strategy for commercial engines and before that, served as business unit manager for an OEM/production and manufacturing facility. He was previously an associate director of corporate strategy & business development, responsible for all activities related to the sourcing and execution of strategic transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and partnerships.
Before rejoining UTC, Mr. Sherman worked as an investment banker at KippsDeSanto & Co. and Bluestone Capital Partners advising public and private clients on M&A engagements across the aerospace/defense market. He began his career at Sikorsky Aircraft as a quality engineer focused on supply chain performance improvement.
Mr. Sherman holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Trinity College and an MBA from The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University
