Maria was born in Wales, United Kingdom. She attended the University of Cardiff, graduating with a Masters degree in Finance & Economics. Prior to GE, she started her career in Finance and held various roles within multinational commercial companies.
In 1998, she joined GE at the Overhaul Facility in Wales, UK. After 3 years in Finance, she transitioned to the Overhaul Operations Black Belt role. Upon graduation, she led the Accessories Business in GE Engine Services at Wales, successfully growing the business while achieving significant improvements in quality, delivery and productivity.
In 2004 she accepted the position of Master Black Belt Delivery/Lean, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was responsible for driving inventory reduction and delivery improvements utilizing Lean concepts across the entire Aviation Supply Chain.
Maria was subsequently appointed Plant Leader at the Durham Aircraft Engine Facility in 2006 and in 2008 she accepted the position of General Manager & Area Executive at GE Aviation Lynn, MA, one of the largest manufacturing facilities in GE with over 3,200 employees. Her responsibilities included all aspects of safety, delivery and quality for portfolio with products that include Fighter Jets, Blackhawk and Apache Helicopters, as well as Biz Jet Engines.
Maria transitioned to CFM Services as General Manager in 2012, responsible for the after market sales & support of the largest installed base in the industry.
She became General Manager of MRO in 2016, where she is accountable for all aspects of delivery, quality & cost across the network.
Maria has two daughters; Katie and Francesca. They enjoy playing all types of sports and travelling.
