Mr. Sargent is a Principal in Oliver Wyman’s Boston office. He has over 10 years of experience in North America and Southeast Asia. His primary focus is on aviation and his projects have focused on cost optimization, sourcing, and strategy. He also is the former head of Oliver Wyman CAVOK’s Market Intelligence team that produces the annual Fleet and MRO Forecast. His consulting engagement have included the following:
For a major airline, re-sourcing of base maintenance agreements totaling $100M+ in annual spend resulting in considerable savings and performance improvement; For an aerospace company, development of aftermarket and manufacturing growth strategies targeting new lines of business via organic and inorganic paths; For a major aerospace OEM, assessment of aftermarket component businesses and identification of strategies to better manage programs and drive profitability; For a major legacy airline, restructuring support including the creation of a maintenance facility closure and inventory redistribution plan that would realize the client up to $66 million in savings;
For a major parcel airline, development and implementation of a maintenance vendor cyber security framework; For a South American airline, a route network redesign and five-year P&L sensitivity analysis.
Mr. Sargent holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (summa cum laude) as well as an M.B.A in Management from the Wharton School (top 5% of class). His studies focused on management, operations, and analytics.
