Mark Miner is Vice President of Technical Services within the Technical Operations
organization, where he is focused on ensuring the Tech Ops organization is efficient,
strategic and positioned for long-term success. In this role, Mark leads key support
functions, including materials, stores, supplier management, maintenance planning,
manpower and capacity planning, schedule coordination, workforce administration and
ground support equipment.
Mark previously served as Vice President of Line Maintenance, which oversaw all
aspects of line maintenance for the airline’s mainline fleet.
He joined American in 2016 to guide the Tech Ops Enterprise System Solution effort,
the largest airline Tech Ops systems integration in history. Prior to joining American,
Mark spent more than 30 years in various leadership roles in maintenance planning,
base maintenance, maintenance programs, reliability, strategic planning, technology
and operational excellence. He has a deep knowledge of Tech Ops and overall airline
operations, and experience in leading strong cross-functional teams.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Montreat College.
He’s also a licensed private pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings. Mark serves
on the board of directors for Vogel Alcove, a Dallas-based nonprofit organization
providing services to homeless children and families.
